Sleep Spindle

Home Sleep Spindle
Sleep spindles are brain waves specific to a particular phase of sleep. These waves have a frequency of 12-15 Hz. Electroencephalography can identify these waves, a method that quantifies brain electrical activity. It is thought that sleep spindles are associated with memory. Memory is consolidated during sleep, mainly when sleep spindles occur.
