Sleep-Related Movement Disorders

Home Sleep-Related Movement Disorders
Sleep-related movement disorders are rhythmic muscle contractions seen during sleep; however, they don't constitute a purposeful movement. They're characterized by repetitive focal movements, seen in disorders such as periodic limb movement disorder or sleep-related bruxism. These movements can make it difficult for a person to fall asleep. It can adversely affect the duration and quality of sleep.
