Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder

Home Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder
Delayed sleep-phase syndrome describes a disordered circadian rhythm. The internal clock functions with a 2-3 hour delay. Therefore patients fall asleep several hours later than the general population and wake up as much later. Although the rhythm is normal otherwise, this delay causes significant problems in patients' social and work lives.
