Central Sleep Apnea

Home Central Sleep Apnea
Central sleep apnea is when breathing intermittently stops and restarts due to the weakening of the ventilation control of the central nervous system during sleep. A similar and better-known condition is obstructive sleep apnea. The two conditions have similar symptoms: tiredness, not feeling refreshed after sleep, memory and concentration problems, headaches in the morning. Central sleep apnea may have various reasons and needs to be evaluated by a physician for underlying causes.
