Alpha Activity

Home Alpha Activity
An electroencephalogram can record electrical changes in the brain. The brainwaves dominant in the recordings from a resting (yet awake) person are called the alpha waves. These waves can also be seen during sleep. However, alpha waves are only generated during the REM sleep phase and don't occur in other sleep phases.
