Sleep and Sexual Dysfunction

A sexual dysfunction (SD) is a reluctance or inability to engage in sexual activity.

SD can be seen in both, whether a person is male or female. SD can manifest itself in men as erection or ejaculatory problems, and in women as an inability to orgasm, a lack of relaxation, or dryness of the vagina during intercourse.

SD may also cause sexual reluctance, pain during intercourse, or arousal problems for both genders. Among the most common causes of SD are heart disease, diabetes, hormonal problems, drug and alcohol abuse, psychological conditions, and sexual trauma.

The relationship between quality sleep and sexual desire is well known today. A sufficient sleep pattern in duration and quality will support sexual functions.

We will examine the relationship between sleep disorders and SD concerning different diagnoses and gender discrimination in the following video.
