Overview

Sleep Clinic of America (SCA) is recruiting individuals for a study who have trouble sleeping, whether it's falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up too early.

About the SCA Study

Qualified study participants receive free, evidence-based treatment using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). It's drug-free, safe, and provides sustainable long-term management for insomnia.

CBT-I is a treatment approach endorsed by the American College of Physicians as an effective method for addressing and managing chronic insomnia. Studies have consistently demonstrated that CBT-I is more effective than sleeping medications, offering a lasting solution for overcoming sleeplessness.

More About CBT-I

CBT-I equips you with the tools and understanding needed to overcome insomnia effectively. This approach empowers you to manage recurring episodes of sleeplessness while avoiding reliance on medication. CBT-I incorporates six treatment modalities to help you overcome sleeplessness, including:

  • Cognitive Restructuring Therapy
  • Stimulus Control Therapy
  • Sleep Restriction Therapy (otherwise known as Sleep Consolidation)
  • The 20-Minute Rule of Sleeplessness
  • Sleep Hygiene
  • Relaxation Therapy

Through gradual introduction of strategies and hands-on practice, CBT-I offers structured guidance, helping you build the skills necessary to conquer insomnia for good.

What's Needed to Participate in the Study

The study is conducted through telemedicine, allowing you to connect with a medical provider from the comfort of home. You will need a device, such as a computer, tablet, or mobile phone that supports video calls and is equipped with a working camera, speakers, and microphone.
