Sleep Debt

Home Sleep Debt
Sleep debt means that when people sleep for fewer hours than their body requires, they are in debt. It's cumulative, which means that if people don't get enough sleep regularly, they'll accumulate more sleep debt. For example, if people only receive four hours of sleep when they should be receiving eight, they will have a four-hour sleep debt. If they do this for the following seven days, they'll accrue a 28-hour sleep deficit.
