PLM Index

Home PLM Index
Periodic Leg Movement (PLM) is defined as having 5-90 second intervals between leg movements, with movements lasting 0.5-5 seconds. The definition needs four different time span leg movements to meet PLM criteria. The PLM index is obtained when the total number of PLMs is divided by the sleep hours. An index of five or more is considered abnormal.
