Parasomnias are unusual behaviors during sleep, falling asleep, or waking up. They can occur during the REM or NREM phase of sleep. Some unusual behaviors are sleepwalking, sleep paralysis, sleep-related eating disorders, or sexsomnia. They can also be associated with a drug, substance use, or a medical condition.
