Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)

Home Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
A maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) measures your ability to stay awake during the daytime. It's conducted in a sleep laboratory by a sleep technician who places electrodes on your head and neck region. The room is dark and quiet. You are asked to lie on a bed but try not to fall asleep. Measurements are taken four times for 40 minutes. The test helps diagnose sleep disorders.
