Head rolling is repeated, stereotyped, and rhythmic movements involving major muscle groups, such as the head and neck, that occur mostly in the early phases of NREM sleep as the third International Classification of Sleep Disorders defines. It occurs more commonly in babies and is more common during the first nine months of life; nevertheless, it usually resolves in the second or third year of life.
