Circadian Rhythm Sleep-Wake Disorders

Home Circadian Rhythm Sleep-Wake Disorders
The circadian rhythm is the person's internal clock that decides the timing of many of one's bodily functions, including the state of sleep-wakefulness. This internal clock must be compatible with the real-world clock. A shift in the biological clock may lead to a circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorder (CRSWD). Parkinson's disease or a long plane trip where multiple time zones are crossed can disrupt circadian rhythm.
